Do you have a child who will be turning 5 prior to September 1st? If so, it is time to register for Kindergarten!  Kindergarten Welcome Events, which will include a sneak peek of a classroom and a chance to meet the teaching team, will occur in all Parkland Elementary Schools in March.  Register now to secure your spot. Contact information and event dates are here.

The PHS Performing Arts Club is hosting their annual Children's Theatre Workshops on January 17th & 18th. Students grades K-5 will join us for dancing, singing, acting, and more!

FREE FRENCH ACTIVITY FAIR for 4th and 5th graders is at PHS on Saturday, February 21 (rescheduled from Jan. 24) when French Honor Society students will host fun activities related to French culture in the Parkland High School Cafeteria from 10 AM - 12 Noon. Sign up here by February 12.

COLD WEATHER ADVISORY

The weather is getting colder and we ask that you please dress your children appropriately for the cold weather - including jackets, scarves, hats, and gloves.  Students will go outside for recess when the real feel temperature is above 20 degrees.

Please note that all students participate in recess, and if a request is made for the child to remain indoors, it must be accompanied by a doctor’s note.

The Parkland Community Advisory Council will hold its January meeting on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the Administration Building, located at 1210 Springhouse Rd, Allentown, PA 18104. These monthly meetings are open to the public. The topic of this meeting is the 2026/2027 Parkland School District Budget led by Mrs. Leslie Frisbie. Chase the Snowman

Unfortunately, our Chase the Snowman event scheduled for Friday, December 12, must be cancelled due to snowy and wet field conditions. The event will be rescheduled for the spring as Chase the Hedgehog, with the spring date to be announced.

Dear Families,

Due to wet field conditions, Chase the Snowman event, originally scheduled for December 3, 2025, has been postponed. The event has been rescheduled for Friday, December 12, 2025.

Should weather cause an additional cancellation, the activity will be moved to the spring and presented as Chase the Hedgehog.
